DUPLIN COUNTY EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION

M. Austin Carter Academic Awards Celebration

The Duplin County Education Foundation sponsors the M. Austin Carter Academic Awards Celebrations each year in May. The event is coordinated through the Duplin County Schools Department of Support Services. High School students must have maintained a 3.63 average for the year to receive an invitation to the awards celebration. Students, along with two guests, are invited to attend the reception and receive recognition for academic success. High School seniors that have maintained a 3.63 average for all four years of high school are awarded trophies. The Foundation presents scholarships at the celebrations.
