Sixth graders are just happy to be middle-schoolers, finally!  They are still adjusting to lockers, changing classes, and having seven different teachers!  From studies of ancient Rome and the Solar System to proportions, the coordinate plane and The Watson’s Go to Birmingham, their day is filled with various exciting topics of study.  We are working hard to prepare students for the EOG, high school, college, and life!  Students are getting excited about their upcoming trip to Medieval Times on March 23rd.  This will be the perfect way to end our unit of study on the Middle Ages.  Congratulations to the following students for placing in the county-wide Duplin Soil and Water Conservation Poster Contest:  Eva-Maria Alviar  (3rd place), Brianna Lewis (5th place), Isai Olivarez (8th place), and Lindsay Aguilar (10th place).   Come check out the “Wetlands are Wonderful” conservation posters that line the middle school hallway!
