8th Grade Science at BF Grady has had some points of interest in the first semester. We have some good things to look forward to in the next semester as well. Hispanic students have exchanged one period of remediation per week to explore various health lessons taught by the Latino Access Department of Duplin General Hospital. Those students who have expressed an interest in a career in health have been able to perform some “hands on” tasks such as blood typing and the search for bacteria. The weekly classes have been very informative for the students. All students will learn from Dr. Ken Lyle who will spend a day with the 8th grade students. Dr. Lyle will be visiting from Duke University and he will be giving the students some chemistry experiences that will enhance their standard course of study!
