The BF Grady PTF has had a busy year. At the Fall Festival, the 2010-2011 officers – Penny Harper, Star Jackson, Karen Rouse and Renee Byrd – were thanked for their hard work serving the BF Grady students and teachers for two years. The new officers – Jennifer Scott, Celeste Britt, Christy Britt and Tammy Jones – were installed at the auction. The Fall Festival raised over $60,000 to be used by the staff on materials to enhance BF Grady students’ education. Currently the PTF officers are preparing for the BoxTops and Tyson and Campbell programs. Each child is asked to save them and bring them to their teacher. With the money earned, each teacher can buy items to benefit their classroom. The deadline for the Box Tops is the end of February. On the second Saturday of each month at 8:00am, all are invited to join in a prayer time for our students and staff. It is a time for all to come together and ask for leadership, guidance and safety. The PTF will be starting a volunteer program for parent, grandparents and community members to help children with their academic skills. Look for upcoming information on how you can give your time and talent to students who need extra help. The next PTF meeting will be on Monday, February 13th at 7:30pm. Remember that it is important to be involved with your child’s education, so plan to be there! |
