The Duplin County School’s Student Advisory Committee has been hard at work providing a direct line of communication between students at each school and the superintendent.
Superintendent Austin Obasohan formed the committees to open the lines of communication at all levels in Duplin County Schools. The members, which are comprised of one representative from each school, meet with the him to provide input, feedback relating to our schools, and any other vital information. "It is imperative we include everyone-all stakeholders at all levels-to move our system forward. I want to hear from all of them. Having these committees allows for representation at all levels," states Obasohan. "We are doing great things in our school system. With input from these committees, we will reach to new levels to ensure all schools make Adequate Yearly Progress, achieve High Growth, become Schools of Excellence and reach a 100% graduation rate for all high schools."
