Girls on the Run is a 10 week after school program for 3rd through 5th grade girls. The program celebrates each girl’s individual differences and strengths, and encourages her to allow her light from within to truly shine! The girls are training for an upcoming 5k event.
Practice includes running games that help build endurance and stamina, and a short life lesson. The team learns about nutrition, fitness,goal setting, dealing with peer pressure, communication, making a difference, working as a team, making lasting friendships, the effects of being positive,and character development.
The goal is for these girls to become healthy, positive young ladies who are ready for the future!
