THE SHELTON CHALLENGE!!!!!!!!

 A one-week summer experience for rising freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors in high school. Shelton's core curriculum focuses on Leadership Roles and Accountability, Team Building, Leadership Styles and Situations, Social Responsibility, Integrity as a Leader, Public Speaking, Changing Behaviors, and Goal Setting.

Are you interested in Engineering????  Each year middle school and high school students go to the College of Engineering at NC State University to discover what engineering is all about.  To find out more information go to www.engr.ncsu.edu/summerprograms/   or call 919-515-3263

Seniors, if you are planning on attending Winston-Salem State University the following information may be of interest to you:  There will be a 5-week summer outreach program at Winston-Salem State University from Sunday June 21 to Friday July 31, 2009.  This program will provide an early exposure to college life and an opportunity to earn 6 semester hours of college credit.  The program is absolutely FREE!!!!!!!!!!! Application forms can be obtained in our Guidance office or from the following link, http://www.wssu.edu/WSSU/UndergraduateStudies/College+Arts+and+Sciences/Chemistry/SOP.htm. Students who are chosen to participate in the summer program are expected to matriculate into Winston-Salem State University in fall 2009 and to major in one of the following science disciplines: biology, chemistry, computer science or mathematics.  Application Package Must be Recieved or Postmarked by May 22, 2009.
