The Whitley Law Firm Scholarship Fund, a $2,500.00 one-time award for graduating seniors is now available. The selection committee will place great weight on the applicant's responses to the essay portion of the application. Merit, high school activities and community involvement will also be considered. The firm plans to award three scholarships to deserving students throughout Eastern NC. Please come by guidance for applications. The deadline to apply is April 29, 2009.

SECU Foundation-People Helping People-Members of the State Employees' Credit Union established this four-year scholarship program to assist NC public high school students attend college.  Each NC traditional public high school will receive one scholarship valued at $10,000 to attend one of the 16 constituent campuses of the University of NC.  Although the SECU Scholarship Program wishes to recognize academic achievment, the "People Helping People" scholarship has a much broader purpose; recognizing leadership and community involvement.  Application information is available in the Guidance office. Applications are due back to the Guidance office by April 21, 2009.

Earl & Carolyn A. Murphy Scholarship-Given to a deserving full-time senior male or female from Wallace Rose Hill High School.  Students must be a participate of the Basketball program at Wallace Rose Hill.  The recipient must be proven scholastic ability, who needs financial assistance to further his or her education.  Applications are available in Guidance and due back April 30.

Linda Atkinson Knowles Baseball Scholarship-Given to a deserving full-time senior male or female from Wallace Rose Hill High School.  Students must be a participate of the Baseball program at Wallace Rose Hill.  The recipient must be proven scholastic ability, who needs financial assistance to further his or her education.  Applications are available in Guidance and due back April 30.

National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) Scholarship-Available in the Guidance office.  Applications are due back to Guidance on April 27.  Please come by Guidance for more information.

Chi lota Omega Chapter- Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Scholarship- This scholarship is available to any Senior planning to attend an institution of higher learning for the academic year 2009-2010 on a full time basis.  Scholarships are available on a competitive basis in recognition of community involvement and academic excellence.  Applications must be completed and mailed before May 11, 2009.  Applications are avaiable in the Guidance office.

Patsy Howard Memorial Scholarship- Available to any Senior Girl who plans to select education as a major.  Applications are in Guidance and are due on May 5, 2009.

Charity High Alumni Association Scholarship- Available to any Senior and due back to Guidance by May 5, 2009.
