Gloria Morgan- Guidance Guidance services are available to all students to assist them in the many important decisions concerning course selection, choice of post-secondary education, career opportunities, and social and personal concerns that they may have during their high school years. All Students are encouraged to meet with Mrs. Morgan to discuss their schedules, credits, graduation requirements, and career plans. One of the first decisions students in the freshmen class will have to make will be to decide which of the courses of study they want to pursue to reach graduation day. Four courses of study have been approved by the State Board of Education which include Career Preparation, College Technical Preparation, College/University Preparation, and Occupational. The Occupational Course of Study will be available for certain students with disabilities who have an Individualized Education Plan. Students not meeting these standards may be eligible to receive a certificate of achievement. NOTE: Juniors should plan to take the SAT or ACT at least three times beginning the spring of 2007. |
