PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

Chinquapin Elementary School is important to the community and has an obligation to be a major resource for enhancing the life of all its citizens.  We believe Chinquapin Elementary can prepare students to be successful socially, academically and emotionally through partnerships.  Research indicates schools experiencing the greatest success understand that the responsibility for education is shared among the parents, the students, the community, and the school and encourage partnerships among these stakeholders. 

We would encourage you to become an active, supporting member of such success and hope to achieve this type of integration in our community.  Through shared responsibility and a common vision, Chinquapin Elementary has become recognized as one of the most successful elementary schools in our state.  We look forward to this school year and are confident it will bring insights that allow growth for our school, community and our children.  This handbook provides a guide to help convey our operational procedures, attendance requirements, county policies and expectations.  The purpose is to create a safe, orderly, learning environment that enhances student achievement.  If questions or concerns arise, I invite you to contact me.
