Welcome to my page. I am Betty Rose, the school nurse for North Duplin Jr. Sr.High School and the lead nurse for our fourteen school nurses. I have been a school nurse for almost 30 years working first at the Duplin County Health Department for ten years and since 1989 as a school nurse for Duplin County Schools.  For 9 years I was the only school nurse and served the sixteen schools in our county.  In 1998 we gained another school nurse and gradually added others.  I never dreamed that we would have a nurse for almost every school but it has been a dream come true.  I am now on my third generation of school students and it has been a wonderful experience.  There have been many changes but one constant has remained/ Young people still need to know that someone cares.  I graduated from North Duplin High School in 1966 and Lenoir Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in 1969. After further education I became nationally certified as a school nurse in 1992. I have worked in a variety of settings in addition to school such as nursing home Director of Nursing, home health care and Duplin General Hospital. I am married to Rev. Paul Rose and we have two adult chilren who are married and two grandchilren ( all products of North Duplin School). Thanks to the Duplin County Schools for allowing me to serve you.

Every Child deserves a school nurse!
