W-RH English teacher, Amy Powers was recently awarded a prestigious Kenan Fellowship. Mrs. Powers' project is supported by the North Carolina New Schools and Duplin County Schools. She will be studying and exploring ways to improve science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education to prepare students for college and careers.
Casey Knowles Wins UNC-W Award. W-RH teacher, Casey Knowles was recently awarded the Beginning Teacher Promise of Leadership Award by the University of NC Wilmington Watson College of Education. Mr. Knowles teaches in the Social Studies department.
