    Duplin County's Programs for Exceptional Children are committed to meeting the needs of students with disabilities and ensuring their success in the school setting.  This program offers a variety of supplemental supports and services for students with disabilities that include specialized instruction as well as related therapy services.

    The primary purpose of the program is to ensure that disabled children develop mentally, physically, emotionally and socially.  All students enrolled in the exceptional children's programs are screened, evaluated, and placed according to state rules governing the Exceptional Children's program.

    Duplin County strives to provide needed supports and assistance to enable all students with disabilities to access the general curriculum and experience success.


    Knights of Columbus will Hold Golf Tournament to Benefit Duplin County Schools
    The 8th Annual Bill Lord Golf Tournament will be held at River Landing Golf Club

    KENANSVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA- July 25, 2017- Sponsors and players are needed to participate in the 8th Annual Bill Lord Golf Tournament at River Landing Golf Club on Friday, September 15. The tournament, sponsored by the Knights of Columbus Council 12921, will support Duplin County School’s exceptional children’s programs and State-Wide Special Olympics Learning Centers.

    The tournament will include a four-person scramble for men and women at all levels, unlimited range balls, golf, and golf cart, refreshments and snacks, prizes, and a luncheon on the River Landing Terrace.
