    --American College Foundation Visionary Scholarship Program - Applicants must be currently enrolled as a high school freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior and but by a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen. Awards range from $1,000 to $5,000 each, with multiple winners to be selected. Each award is a non-renewable, one-time award and is to be used exclusively to offset costs and fees related directly to the student's first year of higher post-secondary education at an accredited institution of the student's choosing within the U.S.

    --Big Top Couture - 1st Annual High School Design Competition: Are you interested in fashion and design? There will be a competition for young designers in the summer of 2022 in Clinton, NC and Duplin County students are invited to take part. Students must be between the ages of 14-21. The event will bring together young designers and seasoned vets to highlight the talent and passion for fashion in a very unique and friendly environment. To enter, students must fill out an applicaion and provide a 2-3 minute video, as well as two hand sketches of their design. For more information, please go to the following link:

    --Coca Cola Scholarship Program - The Coca-Cola Scholars Program scholarship is an achievement-based scholarship awarded to graduating high school seniors. Students are recognized for their capacity to lead and serve, as well as their commitment to making a significant impact on their schools and communities. With the 33rd class in 2021, the Foundation has provided over 6,450 Coca-Cola Scholars with more than $75 million in educational support. 150 Coca-Cola Scholars are selected each year to receive this $20,000 scholarship.

    --College Board Opportunity Scholarships - This program is eligible to students regardless of their family income. This program is part of collegeboard.org. Students must register and have an account to be eligible. 
     
    --Duplin County Schools Presidential Scholarship Program - Duplin County Schools has a district process to review and nominate students to move to the state level of the presidential scholar's program. There are two categories that our school system is allowed to nominate a student for in order to be considered for state nomination to the national level. Our county can nominate one student in the general category and one student in the CTE category. Each local school will be able to select one student per category. All high school seniors graduating between January and June 2022, who are U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents are eligible to be nominated. IF A STUDENT IS INTERESTED IN BEING NOMINATED, HE/SHE MUST SPEAK TO THEIR SCHOOL COUNSELOR FOR THE SCHOOL GUIDELINES.

    --Gates Scholarship - The Gates Scholarship (TGS) is a highly selective, last-dollar scholarship for outstanding, minority, high school seniors from low-income households. Each year, the scholarship is awarded to 300 of these student leaders across the nation, with the intent of helping them realize their maximum potential.

    --Hagan Scholarship - A nationwide need-based merit scholarship designed to help rural students graduate debt-free. To learn more about the scholarship, students may go to the following link:

    --Heisman High School Scholarship - Top senior student-athletes are encouraged to apply for the Heisman High School Scholarship presented by Acceptance Insurance. The 2021 application is now open.

    --Horatio Alger Assn. ScholarshipsThe Horatio Alger Association honors the achievements of outstanding individuals in our society who have succeeded in spite of adversity and who are committed to supporting young people in pursuit of increased opportunities through higher education. There are several types of scholarships. 
     
    --Jack Kent Cooke Foundation College Scholarship Program - The Cooke College Scholarship Program is an undergraduate scholarshiop program available to high-achieving high school seniors with financial need who seek to attend and graduate from the nation's best four-year colleges and universities.

    --Lenoir Rhyne University Teaching Scholars Program - Lenoir Rhyne is currently recruiting exemplary high school seniors to receive this prestigious scholarship and develop the skills to become effective teacher leaders for public schools. Fall 2022 applications are being accepted now.

    --Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps Scholarship Opportunity (NROTC) - Applicants may apply for one of the following options: Navy, Marine Corps, Nurse Corps. There is a five year active duty for the Navy and Marine Corps option and a four year active duty obligation for the nurse corps option. There is no military obligation the first year of college. 
     
    --NCSU Transformation Educational Scholarship Program - The Transformational Scholarships Program will provide scholarships totaling $40,000 over four years to promising high school students from Eastern North Carolina who will return to the region to teach after graduating from NC State’s College of Education. Launched in summer 2021 thanks to a generous charitable grant from the Anonymous Trust, the program will welcome its first cohort of 20 Transformational Scholars in fall 2022.

    --NCSU Wilson College of Textiles Scholarship Endorsement - The Textiles Scholarship Program is designed for students who are interested in career fields such as engineering, business management, design, chemistry, polymers, forensics, medical fields, fashion merchandising and retail management. Competitive applicants demonstrate high academic achievement, strong leadership qualities, involvement in extracurricular activities and civic engagement and an interest in textile-related careers. Students can see their school counselor for endorsement information or can self-endorse. 
    Students must fill out the general NCSU application through The Common App by November 1, 2021
     
    --North Carolina High School Athletic Assn. (NCHSAA) Endowed Scholarships - Thanks to the generosity of numerous donors, the NCHSAA Endowment Fund offers numerous scholarships to eligible student-athletes of NCHSAa member schools. 
     
    --North Carolina Region Sports Car Club of America (NCRSCCA) ScholarshipA $1,000 scholarship is available from the North Carolina Region Sports Car Club of America. The NCRSCCA was founded in 1955 and has 750+ members.  Our scholarship mission statement:  The NCRSCCA membership are strong supporters of our youth and their future. It is the wish of the Individuals and Companies that donate funds, that their contributions to the program provide financial assistance to graduating high school seniors who reside within the NCR geographical area (SCCA membership not required) or SCCA Region 55 members living outside of the NCR geographical area. Students who receive an award will be selected from those who have submitted an application to NCRSCCA-SP.

    --Patriot Military Family Foundation Scholarship -  North Carolina service members and their families are eligible for four-year scholarships offered in partnership with the We Care Foundation. Recipients must attend a North Carolina State college or university.

    --Questbridge National College Match - Full scholarships to 45 top colleges worth over $200,000 each - for academically outstanding high school seniors from low-income backgrounds.

    --UNC CH Thomas Wolfe Scholarship - We are pleased to announce that The Thomas Wolfe Scholarship (plus summer stipends) is beginning its twenty-first year at Carolina. Our scholarship for full undergraduate support for student writers will open its twenty-first submission period as follows: The Thomas Wolfe Scholarship will receive applications beginning September 13th 2021. 
    Deadline to apply: Our Thomas Wolfe Scholarship application process involves two (2) steps: Step 1) an application to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill by October 15th, 2021; and, Step 2) an application to the Thomas Wolfe Scholarship by November 15th, 2021. Students must apply to both the University and the Scholarship to be considered. 
     
    --U.S. Senate Youth Program - The USSYP provides an educational opportunity for juniors and seniors interested in pursuing college coursework in history or political science to speand a week in Washington, DC meeting senators, cabinet members, Supreme Court justices, and officials from various federal agencies in the White House.     --Veterans of Foreign Wars Scholarship Program - Each year the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 9810 of Warsaw, NC and its Auxiliary offers annual scholarship programs for students in our local school district. These programs have been in existance for many years and give our youth an opportunity to express their feelings about a patriotic theme through a recorded CD or a written essay. There are two categories:
    Grade 9-12: "Voice of Democracy:
    Grade 6-8 "Patriot's Pen"
