Description: This year, NCASRO will select one high school senior from qualified applicants in each of its 8 regions, to receive a one-time non-renewable $500 college scholarship grant. The grant will be deposited into the selected student's financial aid account at the college or university of their choice. Eligible students must be high school seniors on track to graduate, a resident of North Carolina, have a minimum unweighted GPA of 2.5 and who are entering an accredited two or four-year college or university. Strong consideration will be given to financial need, but scholastic standing will also be very important along with participation in extracurricular activities, personal reputation, and moral integrity within the standards of NCASRO.

Description: The North Carolina Child Support Council is a non-profit organization comprised of Child Support Professionals, the Judiciary, and others involved in the Child Support process. Each year the Council sponsors four (4), $1,000 scholarships in memory of Bob R. McGuire. Mr. McGuire was an advocate for the program in both the public and private sectors. This year’s winners will be presented scholarships during the Opening Session of the North Carolina Child Support Conference to be held in August 2023.

Description: The “People Helping People” SECU Scholarship is a four-year scholarship program designed to mimic its belief in “People Helping People” by providing North Carolina public high school students with scholarships to attend college. Duplin County Schools will be receiving three SECU “People Helping People” Scholarships in the 2022-2023 school year to be distributed within our school district. The SECU scholarship not only recognizes academic achievement, but also focuses on recognizing leadership, integrity, and community involvement. The SECU scholarship is valued at a total of $10,000 ($1,250 per semester for 8 consecutive semesters.) To see if you are eligible to apply, see the criteria listed under "downloads" above.

Description: The Victor E. Bell, Jr. Scholarship Program has been established to encourage and assist high potential North Carolina students with limited financial resources to pursue higher education.Awarded to seventh grade students and renewable through four years of college as long as annual eligibility requirements are met, the Scholarship Program encourages students with academic ability and promises to maintain their scholastic standing and achieve a college degree. Each individual scholarship award shall be $2,000 per recipient per year up to a maximum total contribution of $20,000 unless a change in the availability of Scholarship Program funds or college costs requires an adjustment in the amount of future awards.
