    Welcome to Middle School at WALE and Welcome to 6th Grade English Language Arts! I’m sure that you are as elated as I am about this school year! Together, we will be learning and growing as we work hard and give our best each day. You deserve a quality education and I am here to make sure that you get it!

     

    What and how will we be learning?

    Our goal is to read, write, think, talk and listen everyday. We will utililize a flipped classroom approach. We will interact with a variety of literature and informational texts through a balanced literacy approach. You will engage in lots of meaningful literacy activities including Guided and Independent Reading, Accountable Talk and Writing. 

    We will learn lots of new words and reading skills and strategies. We are a team and together we will have an awesome year! We are scholars; therefore, we can reach 6th grade proficiency and beyond!
