TARDY
Procedure:
A student with an unexcused tardy will be required to attend Lunch Detention/After School Detention. All student(s) will sign in at the front office using the Ident-A-Kid system. At a student's second unexcused tardy and up to three (3) unexcused tardies, the student will be assigned Lunch Detention. After four (4) tardies, students will be referred to the assistant principal. They will be assigned one (1) full day of In School Suspension. Anyone who gets over five (5) will receive an Out of School Suspension until Parent Conference. The next offense referred to the administration could lead to additional suspensions which could include, but not limited to ISS/OSS. Students can be subject to the loss of driving privileges. The office staff, ISS Coordinator, and/or social worker will contact the parents of students with excessive tardies.
Consequences:
-
Tardiness occurs when a student is not in the classroom in his/her seat when the bell finishes ringing.
-
Any student not seated inside the classroom when the bell begins to ring will be considered tardy. Students must sign in at the front office.
-
First unexcused is excused; however, tardies #2 - #3 will result in Lunch Detention.
-
Tardy #5 will result in In School Suspension. Phone calls will be made to parents/guardians.
-
Additional tardies will be referred to administration and could lead to additional suspensions.
