• Any female wanting to try out and play high school volleyball next school year, needs to meet in the gym this Thursday immediately after school to get information- or to contact me hbest@duplinschools.net if they cannot attend.

     

    Are you a Senior and planning to enroll at James Sprunt Community College in the Fall? If so, you need to register for Commitment Day! Commitment Day is specifically catered to you! You will meet one-on-one with your advisor to register for classes, participate in campus tours, and receive your parking pass and student ID. You will also have a chance to meet with financial aid and admissions if you have any questions or concerns. After you are finished, free lunch will be provided to you and a guest! At the end of the day, you will be prepared to start classes in the fall! Commitment Day is June 15th from 10AM-12:30 PM. Limited spots are available so you must RSVP by June 8th. For information on how to RSVP, check your school email or see your guidance counselor. 

     

    Several lost and found items are accumulating in the front office (eyeglasses, lanyards, necklaces, rings and lunchboxes). Please come by and claim if you are missing anything.  

    Mr. Dupree is hosting a tour of Argentina and Brazil for the summer of 2023. Any student interested in signing up needs to see Mr. Dupree ASAP! 

     

    Graduation practice will be on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, from 9-11 a.m. Graduation practice is mandatory to walk at graduation. 

     

    Congratulations to Garris Warren and Vance Carter who earned Iron Rebel Ready t shirts from our speed and strength program.  Congratulations also to Demonte Fryar and Wesley Holmes who earned Iron Rebel Level One shirts. 

    The summer speed and strength program for our athletes will be on Tuesday May 31st.and Thursday June 2nd.  It continues throughout the summer on Monday and Wednesday evenings at 6:30 PM. We do not open the week of July 4th.  



    Varsity Cheer tryouts are scheduled for May 17th through May 19th. In order to try out you must have a current physical and athletic insurance. You can pay insurance to Ms. Brandi. 

     

     Reminder: Preorders for 2022 yearbook deadline is JUNE 30. There will be no other chance to order this year’s book if you fail to order soon. Look for flyers throughout campus or go to www.yearbookordercenter.com access code 278 or contact Mrs. Young for more information. 

     

      The Health Science Academy will hold its awards night on Friday, May 20th at 6:30 pm in the Ed Emory Auditorium across from James Sprunt. All seniors are invited to attend and 9th-11th graders receiving one or more volunteer medals or an academic trophy are invited to attend.  Check your email for an invitation and details.

    If you still have library books checked out, please return them to the media center when possible.
