    How to become a substitute teacher with Duplin County Schools
    1.  Applications and all required documents must be submitted at a school within the district.  All applicants must create an account with   PeopleAdmin which is located on the Duplin County Schools webpage under employment opportunities. You will need to contact one of the
    Duplin County School's bookeepers to let them know your interest in substituting.  The bookkeeper will need the following information:  verification of completion of Effective Teacher Training, copy of high school transcript, proof of identification, TB Skin Test results, teacher license (if licensed), tax forms and personal information.  Please visit our Employment Opportunities webpage or click here for more information.  You may also contact Kim Matthis, Senior Human Resources Office Manager at 910 296-6626.
     
    2.  Each month, applicants will be submitted by each school for approval by Board of Education members.
      
    3.  In addition to Board of Education approval, the applicant must complete the substitute orientation provided by the Human Resources Department.
     
    4.  Once applicants have completed these two requirements, an approval letter will be sent from Human Resources.
     

     Substitute orientation will be offered on the dates listed below.
     
    Substitute Orientation will be virtual until further notice and will begin promptly at 9:000am. You will need to contact Kim Matthis in the Human Resources Office at 910 296-6626 to register for the training.  An invitation will be sent to attendees via email prior to the orientation date.
