As we previously announced, this year our Academy has grown so large that we needed to divide into two ceremonies.
NOTE: All underclassmen HSA academic awards will be presented at their individual school awards ceremonies.
April 28 - HSA Volunteer Service Awards
Ed Emory Auditorium, Lois Britt Agricultural Center - Kenansville, NC
6:00 p.m.
Open to underclassmen and seniors who have achieved one of the following volunteer hours markers for the first time:
- White medal - 50
- Gold Medal - 100
- Red Medal - 150
- Blue Medal - 200 overall hours
- Green Medal - 50 Clinical
- Purple Medal - 100 Clinical
- HSA Blue & Green Medal - 150 Clinical

,Additionally, two awards will be given to the highest earning underclassmen who achieved:
- Most Total Hours in 2025-2026 School Year
- Most Clinical Hours in 2025-2026 School Year
Additional Recognitions:
- Job Shadowing participants
- Health conference attendees
- Summer medical program attendees
- Rising district ambassadors for 2026-2027
We kindly ask that our volunteer award recipients limit to no more than 2 additional guests for space considerations.
May 19 - Senior Recognition Ceremony
Ed Emory Auditorium, Lois Britt Agricultural Center - Kenansville, NC
6:00 p.m.
Open to our graduating HSA completers and close family.
At this event, seniors will be recognized for:
- Graduating seniors at each school with the most cumulative volunteer hours
- Graduating senior with the most clinical hours
- Graduating senior with the most overall hours
- Graduating senior with the most HSA pathway courses
- Graduating seniors with the highest cumulative average at their schools
- District Ambassadors
- CNA, EMT, Vet Asst, Pharm Tech certifications
- Internships
- ECU Health HSA Scholarship Recipients
Additionally, our graduating seniors will walk across the stage to receive their bound completion certificate, honor cords, and ECU Health graduate gifts.
