Exceptional Children's Program
Duplin County's Program for Exceptional Children is committed to meeting the needs of students with disabilities and ensuring their success in the school setting. This program offers a variety of supplemental supports and services for students with disabilities that include specialized instruction as well as related therapy services.
The primary purpose of the program is to ensure that disabled children develop mentally, physically, emotionally and socially. All students enrolled in the exceptional children's programs are screened, evaluated, and placed according to state rules governing the Exceptional Children's program.
