There are a handful of dynamic leaders in every senior class that sets a higher standard for the rest—in character and achievement. They may be active in traditional activities such as student government and clubs, or they may have ventured out into new areas. The application processes for Park Scholarships and NC State undergraduate admissions are separate.To be eligible for the Park Scholarships program, candidates must:
Have a minimum 3.5 unweighted GPA.
Be a United States citizen, permanent resident of the U.S., or graduating from a high school located in the U.S. (regardless of citizenship status).
Apply for fall, first-year admission into a baccalaureate program at NC State. Not open to transfer students.
UNC Charlotte Levine Scholarship

The Levine Scholars Program seeks outstanding high school seniors who are eager to embark on a transformative college experience. Note: Students must be admitted to UNC Charlotte to receive a Levine Scholarship. Students must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents, demonstrate a commitment to community service, hold an academic record that reflects a sustained passion for knowledge, and possess a capacity for ethical leadership that elevates fellow students to a higher standard. Students can self-nominate or must be nominated by a school staff member.
East Carolina University EC Scholars Program (Brinkley Lane)

The Brinkley-Lane Scholars Award is the most prestigious scholarship offered at ECU. Students wishing to be considered for the Brinkley-Lane Scholars Scholars Award will first need to be accepted into the Honors College. Admission to the Honors College at East Carolina University is competitive and by invitation only. Students will need to meet minimum eligibility criteria to receive an invitation to apply by submitting a completed application for undergraduate admission to ECU by the priority deadline of October 20th.
Cheatham-White Scholarship (NC A&T and NC Central)

The Cheatham-White scholarship covers full tuition and fees, housing, meals, textbooks, a laptop, travel, and personal expenses. To be eligible, applicants must satisfy the following criteria:
Be a competitive applicant for admission as a freshman student in the fall semester into a baccalaureate program at North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University or North Carolina Central University (in-state and out-of-state students are both eligible.
National Merit & Need-Based Scholarships
Gates Scholarship

The Gates Scholarship (TGS) is a highly selective, last-dollar scholarship for outstanding, minority, high school seniors from low-income households. Scholars will receive funding for the full cost of attendance* that is not already covered by other financial aid and the expected family contribution, as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), or the methodology used by a Scholar’s college or university. Cost of attendance includes tuition, fees, room, board, books, and transportation, and may include other personal costs. To apply, students must be: A high school senior, From at least one of the following ethnicities: African-American, American Indian/Alaska Native*, Asian & Pacific Islander American, and/or Hispanic American, Pell-eligible, US citizen, national, or permanent resident--In good academic standing with a minimum cumulative weighted GPA of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent). Student must plan to enroll full-time, in a four-year degree program, at a US accredited, not-for-profit, private or public college or university.

In order to be eligible to apply to the National College Match in the fall of 2023, applicants must graduate from high school during or before the summer of 2024 and plan to enroll as a first-year student in college in the fall of 2024. Any high school senior, regardless of citizenship, currently attending high school in the U.S. is eligible for the National College Match. Additionally, U.S. Citizens and Permanent Residents living abroad are eligible. Students attending high school in the U.S. as undocumented or international students are eligible to apply, but should review the Additional Citizenship Requirements to see which QuestBridge college partners will consider them for the Match Scholarship.

Elks National Foundation Scholarship

Since 1931, the Elks National Foundation has helped students recognize their academic dreams. Each year, we award more than $3 million in college scholarships to at least 850 outstanding, service-minded high school seniors. Applicants will be judged on scholarship, leadership, and financial need. Will award 500 four-year scholarships to the highest-rated applicants in the 2024 competition. Ranging from $1,000 per year to $12,500 per year, Most Valuable Student scholarships are for students pursuing a four-year degree, on a full-time basis (minimum of 12 semester hours), in a U.S. college or university. All scholarships are in the form of certificates of award conditional upon the full-time enrollment of the winner in an accredited U.S. college or university.
Horatio Alger State Scholarship

State scholarships are awarded to eligible students in all fifty states and the District of Columbia. The program specifically assists high school students who have faced and overcome great obstacles in their young lives. The scholarships are funded by Horatio Alger Members who, like the Scholars, have experienced challenges but ultimately overcame them to become successful business and civic leaders.
To be eligible to apply for a Horatio Alger State Scholarship, applicants must be enrolled full time as a high school junior in the United States.

The Career & Technical Scholarship Program is funded through the generosity of Horatio Alger Association Members, Dennis R. Washington and Jim F. Dicke II. Scholarships are awarded to students who have faced and overcome great obstacles in their lives who wish to pursue a career or technical education at an accredited non-profit post-secondary institution in the United States. The Association offers several scholarship programs that either require an applicant to pursue a specific degree or attend a specific university. These specialized programs are funded through the generosity of individual Horatio Alger members.
Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Scholarship

The Cooke College Scholarship Program is an undergraduate scholarship program available to high-achieving high school seniors with financial need who seek to attend and graduate from the nation's top four-year colleges and universities. Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:
Senior standing – Plan to graduate from a U.S. high school in spring 2024.
Fall College Enrollment – Intend to enroll in an accredited four-year college beginning in fall 2024.
GPA – Earn a minimum, cumulative unweighted GPA of 3.5 or above.
Demonstrate Unmet Financial Need – We will consider applicants with a maximum annual gross income of $95,000. Last year’s cohort of new College Scholarship recipients had a median family income of approximately $34,000. During the selection process, the Foundation will conduct a full financial review which will take into account all income and assets of the student and the student’s parents.

Equitable rewards 200 scholarships every year to current high school seniors who plan to enroll full time in an accredited two- or four-year college or university in the United States for the entire upcoming academic year.

The Automotive Women’s Alliance Foundation (AWAF) is an active professional foundation dedicated to supporting the advancement of automotive and mobility industry professionals.

The Advocates for African Americans Carolinas Scholarship (formerly named The African American Network) is a Duke Energy employee resource group that aims to develop growth opportunities for African American employees at Duke Energy.
Scholarship applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and be a graduating senior at a North or South Carolina high school. Applicants must attend a four-year college or university in North or South Carolina, and they must plan to major in engineering, computer science, the sciences, accounting, finance, or business administration.

The Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Scholarship was established in 1992 by the North Carolina Association of Educators Minority Affairs Commission under the auspices of the Human and Civil Rights Commission. The American Indian College Fund provides scholarships to American Indian and Alaska Native college students. The North Carolina Society of Hispanic Professionals established the North Carolina Hispanic College Fund (NCHCF) to benefit Hispanic students in North Carolina. U.S. Army Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) scholarships provide full financial assistance for college tuition and mandatory education fees (or room and board). Additionally, scholarship winners receive tax free subsistence allowance for up to 10 months a year at a rate of $420.00 per month and $1200 annually for textbooks, classroom supplies, and equipment. Students does not have to be in high school JROTC to apply.

The Golden LEAF Community College Scholarship provides scholarships of up to $2,250 annually to curriculum students and up to $1850 annually to workforce continuing education students. Scholarship funds can be used to cover the cost of attendance, which includes items such as tuition, fees, books, supplies, credentialing tests, transportation, and childcare. A scholarship recipient who resides in an eligible county upon initial award may retain eligibility and may be eligible for renewal awards if the student’s place of residence is within the state of North Carolina (Duplin Co. is an eligible county). Eligible students may receive an award each year.
