School Nurses
Duplin County Schools employees 13 full time school nurses. All of our school nurses are registered nurses with a Bachelor's degree. These 13 nurses have attained the additional professional credential of nationally certified school nurse. Healthy kids learn better and our school nurses use a multidisciplinary team approach which includes students, teachers, social workers, various community organizations, guidance counselors, health care providers, and parents to remove possible health care related barriers to learning.
