    First Grade is an exciting year for students as they continue to grow and learn many new things! I believe my students can do anything they set their minds to. Students will have opportunites to learn through hands-on experiences in all content areas. I also love to incorporate agricultural activites in our lessons to increase their awareness about many topics we will focus on throughout the school year. Although the start of this school year is a bit different as we begin online, we will learn and grow so much together! Please help me encourage good reading and study habits at home to help your child succeed! 
     
    This will be my ninth year teaching First Grade here at KES. I was born and raised as a fellow Tiger and graduated from James Kenan High School in 2008. From there I pursued my teaching career at NC State University and graduated with my Bachelors in Elementary Education in 2012. GO PACK! I am happy to be home in Duplin County as I raise my 6 year old son, Brantley.
