    Welcome to my class webpage! I am a graduate of UNCW and hold a Bachelor Degree in Middle Grades Education with concentration in Language Arts and Social Studies.  Currently, I teach Language Arts.  In my class you will find that we are constantly reading and discussing what we have read.  My students will learn that I will constantly ask them, "How does this relate to you?"  You will also find that we are writing, with goals in mind.  My job is to not only teach my students lessons in Language Arts but to also guide them in self-reflection,  Each one of my students can achieve their goals.  Every student has a dream, of some kind.  My job is to empower them and to believe in them while they learn to believe in themselves. A person that can read well can succeed.  A person that can read well has the tools they need to become educated.  A person that can read well can follow the directions that need to be followed in order to reach their goal.  This is my job! It is more to me than "just reading"...reading well sets the tone for a persons future.
