Wendy Gregory- First Grade Teacher
North Duplin Elementary
A little bit about myself. My name is Wendy Gregory. Welcome to our Wonderful 1st Grade Classroom!
We are going to have an exciting year of rigorous learning and success. Every child deserves a champion and this year we will work together to help your child reach his/ her fullest potential.
I have been an educator for 17 years and this is my 18th year. I taught 13 years in Harnett County and this is my 5th year in Duplin County. I graduated from Campbell University in 2001 with a Bachelors Degree in Family Studies with Double Concentrations in Child Development and Family. I am K-6 ceritfied in Elementary Education and I love teaching young children. I have an Associates of Arts Degree from Heritage Bible College with a degree in Christian Education. I have two beautiful children Lindsay 15, a tenth grader at North Duplin Jr. / Sr. and Lucas 10, a fifth grader at North Duplin Elementary. I am originally from Duplin County and a graduate of Duplin County Schools and I am excited to be teaching in my home county.
Teaching is my passion. I believe that all students can learn at their own pace. My goal is to be the best advocate for students and to help them achieve success. Every child is a true gift and should be treasured for who they are and what he or she has to offer and will become. My goal is to help your child have the best year ever that will lead to their future success in life. Read with your child every night and anything is possible for them. I believe in children and I will do my best to help them believe in themselves. Dr. Seuss said it best, You have brains in your head, you have feet in your shoes, you can steer yourself in any direction you choose! Together, we will work as a team to watch them soar! Feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to get in contact with me.
