Welcome to the 2021-2022 STEAMA 2.0 Lab for 6th,7th, and 8th graders!
STEAMA is an acronym for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math, and Agriculture. Sixth graders will learn about the six STEAMA pillars, explore personal characateristics and careers, code a Sphero, engineer a bridge, design a camera, and harvest vegetables. Seventh grade students partner with a Duplin County business to find out what they produce, how they do business, and what they sell. This research will allow students to discover specific careers this business needs to operate in the Agriculture and Trades Industry. Eighth grade students will be using the FUSE studio to become experts in STEAMA. FUSE consists of 32 challenges. These challenges enable students to design 3-D cars, mix music, program robots, build light circuits, engineer flight control panels, create 3-D creatures, optimize wind turbines, and many others.
