Degrees and Certifications:
B.A. English Secondary Teacher Licensure Psychology Minor Google Certified Educator
Hello! My name is Kat Lancaster, and I have the privilege of teaching high school English. I feel that I was born to be a teacher; I am blessed that I wake up every morning excited to go to work because teaching is not just a job to me- it's my life.
I am originally from Goldsboro, North Carolina, but I graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of North Carolina- Wilmington with a B.A. in English with secondary teacher certification and a minor in psychology. A lifelong nerd, I was an active member of the UNCW Anime Club and held multiple officer positions within the club, including President. I was also involved with the Student North Carolina Association of Educators (SNCAE) and Honors Program at UNCW. As for my interests, I love animals, anime, foreign film, books, retro video games, music, and learning new things.
This semester I am teaching English II and III in room 28 (on the Freshmen Hall).
Parents are more than welcome to contact me via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or via Google Voice at (910) 408-2467.
