I started working for Duplin County Schools as a bus driver in the early 90's and drove a bus for 8 years. I was a second grade teacher's aide for 2 years and taught the computer science curriculum for 4 years for kindergarten through sixth grade. I was a substitute teacher for 3 years for grades Pre-K through 12th grade, while finishing my elementary education degree at Barton College. I went back to Barton College for Birth through Kindergarten certification. I have been teaching Pre-K at BFG since 2006.

Empecé a trabajar para las escuelas del condado de Duplin como conductor de autobús a principios de los 90 y conduje un autobús durante 8 años. Fui asistente de maestra de segundo grado durante 2 años y enseñé el plan de estudios de informática durante 4 años desde el jardín de infantes hasta el sexto grado. Fui maestra suplente durante 3 años para los grados de prekínder hasta el grado 12, mientras terminaba mi título de educación primaria en Barton College.
