Degrees and Certifications:
To my RHM family:
In times like these it is important to remember that happiness is essential to have emotional energy to grow and move on in life. Hope fuels happiness and happy people will lead more productive lives. Fear takes more energy and the more fearful you are the less happy you will be. During this crisis, try to look for something every day that makes you happy. DO something that makes you happy. Write about things that make you happy. Take control of your happiness until we can be together again. Hopefully it will be very soon. I miss you all !
Hello and welcome to our class!! I am so excited to be teaching at Rose Hill Magnolia this year and look forward to learning about all your children. I look forward to working closely with you to ensure your children become independent, successful individuals.
I am a graduate of UNC-Wilmington. I also have a Master's in Special Education from Grand Canyon University and an Advanced Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Capella University. I have been teaching for 17 years at all levels from Kindergarten through High School. I have taught resource, behavior and adaptive classes so I am prepared to face any challenges that come my way.
I have two children. Riley is 25 and a graphic designer living in Raleigh. Christina is 22 at Escoffier to be a chef. I love all animals and presently have 17 dogs , 3 cats, 2 turtles, a hedgehog and 2 goats. I love anything to do with the outdoors and I really want to start a classroom project outside our door. More about that later :)
It is very important that we keep in touch throughout the school year. You can call the school after 3:15 Monday through Friday at 910-289-3667, email me anytime at firstname.lastname@example.org, or send a note through Claa Dojo. I will be in contact soon regarding your child's IEP.
