Mrs. Vivian Brown
Welcome to the 2020-2021 Academic School Year at James Kenan High School! This year has presented many obstacles and will continue to present challenges. I look forward to navigating those challenges with you as my partner to successfully overcome and provide quality instruction to achieve academic excellence.
I have resided in rural Duplin County with my husband and two daughters for more than thirty years and I absolutely consider it to be home! I love our ruralness, our diversity and our charming communities, scattered across our large county. I have a background deeply immersed in human service and social work experiences and I have a keen awareness and understanding of the challenges many families and students face during these challenging times. I hold a Bachelor Of Social Work Degree from Indiana Wesleyan University.
Robust and frequent communication can be vital to a student’s academic success. Parents, I will regularly call you, as well as email you regarding your young adult’s progress and accomplishments in American History I & II. I also welcome and encourage you to reach out to me via email anytime at firstname.lastname@example.org. I believe whole heartedly we are collaborative partners -you the parent(s), me the teacher and most importantly, you the student.
