Greetings Everyone,

       My name is Cynthia Pickett, and I am so thrilled to be teaching 6th -8th grade Band this year.  My passion for music began when I started playing the drum set at the age of 4.  Throughout my music education, I have performed as a percussionist in marching band, concert band, and pep band. I obtained my bachelor’s degree from North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University (AGGIE PRIDE!) and my associate degree from Pitt Community College (Go Bulldogs!). I genuinely believe that Music Education is very essential to a child’s education. My goal for this year is to build on each student’s prior learning to further their instrumental abilities, and to help our band team to grow. We are going to have an awesome year.  I look forward to getting to know each of you and your families.
