Hi!  I am so glad to be at North Duplin teaching middle grades science this year!  I have been teaching for about 20 years and love it! I am a graduate of Converse College in Spartanburg, SC.  I have taught STEM, science, and ELA in both SC and in NC.   I am a sports fan, I enjoy time with my family, and I love being social!  I grew up playing LOTS of soccer.  I have recently started playing golf - I have a lot left to learn on the golf course!  Bright colors and loud music make my life much more fun!  I live in Duplin County with my husband, two children, and two dogs!  We have a full and busy home!

This year I will teach seventh grade science and eighth grade science.  I look forward to helping students create a love of science and a passion for learning.  Students this year will collaborate, investigate, and explore science through group activities, independent work, lab activities, and project opportunities. 

Needed materials:

Two marbled stitch-bound composition notebooks, writing utensils, charged chromebook

Optional materials:

Coloring utensils, scissors, gluesticks. 

Other materials may be necessary throughout the year as students complete independent projects.
