Hello Everyone!

My name is Karen Rouse. I am a 2nd Grade Teacher at B.F. Grady. I am married with three grown children and a sweet miniature dachshund, Nellie. Each of my grown children attended BFG, so this school is near and dear to my heart. This is my third year teaching 2nd grade. Prior to teaching at BFG,  I was the Director of Woodland Preschool and Childcare for nearly 14 years and I worked with the Division of Social Services for nearly 10 years.  I received an AAS degree in Marketing/Business from Lenoir Community College and a BS degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Mount Olive. I currently have a K-6 Elementary Education Residency License.   

I am very grateful to have the opportunity to work at BF Grady.  I have enjoyed getting to know my students over the past two years as well as watching them learn and grow.  I anticipate having another awesome group of students in the 2022/2023 school year.
