Duplin County Schools is excited to announce that North Carolina DHHS is providing a free COVID-19 testing program in all of our schools.  This voluntary program will allow students and staff who are symptomatic, or have been in close contact with a positive case, to receive a diagnostic test at school if they choose.  

All school nurses and school health staff have been trained to safely administer anterior nares nasal swab tests that are quick and gentle.  (This is NOT the test that tickles the brain!)  Testing will occur only if needed and only with parent or guardian consent.  To expedite testing, staff members may complete a consent and HIPAA authorization to share testing results with all necessary parties.  All testing information is confidential and results will be available within hours.
