I am married to a former North Duplin graduate and have two wonderful children that attend North Duplin Elementary.  I am a graduate of ECU with a degree in Political Science and English. I am certified in 6-9 Language Arts and 6-9 Social Studies.  I obtained a Master's Degree in 2017 in Educational Leadership from Gardner Webb University.  I started my teaching career at Mount Olive Middle School in 2008, and have taught in Wayne County for the past 14 years. I have lived in Duplin County for the past 8 years and this will be my first year teaching at North Duplin!  

I believe that reading literacy is one of the most important skills a student can learn!  I enjoy sharing my joy of reading with my students and cultivating a love of reading among my students.  I am looking forward to working with the students, parents, and staff at North Duplin this school year.
