Welcome to my webpage!!!  My name is Heather Best!  I am currently one of two Physical Education teachers at North Duplin Elementary School!!!  I have been teaching in NC for 22 years, (1 1/2 years in Union County at Monroe High School in Monroe NC, 1/2 a year at Warsaw Middle in Warsaw NC, and currently at North Duplin Elementary for the last 20 years, where I feel at home with my other babies!!!  I am currently the head JV and Varsity coach for the North Duplin High School Rebels!!!! 

 

I grew up in Greensboro NC, and attended Southern Guilford High School (GO INDIANS!!!!) where I played Volleyball, Basketball, and Softball, then went on to Western Carolina University, where I graduated in 1999!  GO CATAMOUNTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

I am a National Board Certified Teacher in Early to Middle Childhood Physical Education, and love my job!!!  I stepped back into the coaching ring as the JV and Varsity Volleyball coach at North Duplin Jr/Sr High.

 

As you can see in my photo, my husband Dan and I love animals and are currently raising a litter of our own!!!!  Our twins arrived on March 17th, 2011!  Porter and Brenna!!!
