Hello, I'm Marla Whaley, your school nurse. I have lived in Duplin County all of my life. I have been a Registered Nurse (RN) for over twenty years, and have worked in several different healthcare settings. I graduated from Wallace-Rose Hill High School, then earned my Associate's Degree in Nursing from James Sprunt Community College, and later earned my Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from East Carolina University. I am certified as a School Nurse from the National Board of School Nurses (NBSN). I am an advocate for your child’s health, safety, and well-being in the academic setting. I am most interested in working with you in the best interests of your child. A sound health program which protects the welfare of your child requires your participation and cooperation.
