Wallace Elementary is a great place for learning!  Being a bull dog is awesome!
We are growing impressive readers at Wallace Elementary School.  Our elementary students are using the skills learned during Shared Reading, Read Aloud with Accountable Talk, and Reader's Workshop to help them become better readers, thinkers, speakers, and listeners.  They are having great conversations about their reading.  Our middle grades students are using their reading skills to infer information about characters and events in order to have deep conversations with their classmates.  We encourage you to help make reading exciting for your child by showing them how much you value books, reading to them, and talking about what you've read.
We are also growing awesome mathematicians.  Our bullpups are participating in hands-on activities that cater to their individual needs. They are also given chances to share their thinking with others and are given chances to look deeper into word problems.  We love when our students are able to explain their thinking!
Along with reading, math, science, and social studies, we are providing many opportunities for students to participate in meaningful STEAMA activities.  Watching our students persevere, problem-solve, and be creative is extremely rewarding.
