                                             What is a School Counselor?

       A School Counselor is a certified professional that works within the environment to assist students at all levels from elementary school to college. We listen to students' concerns about academic, emotional or social problems. We help students process their problems, and plan goals and actions.

     

    What types of things can a counselor help with?

    The School Counselor can provide support services to address a number of issues, including but not limited to the following:

    * Anger Management

    * Coping Skills

    * Self-Control

    * Anxiety

    * Divorce/Changing Families

    * Self-Esteem

    *Bullying

    * Friendship Skills

    * Social Skills

    * Conflict Resolution

    * Grief and Loss

    * Stress Management
