• Welcome to Chinquapin Elementary School, home of the Indians.  My husband and I are both educators.  We have three wonderful children, Alex, Morgan, and Jordan. I graduated  the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a degree in Sociology. I later obtained my teaching certification and Masters in School Administration from East Carolina University. Prior to entering administration, I taught Language Arts and Social Studies for 15 years.  I have served as an administrator for Duplin County Schools since 2013.  This is my fourth year at Chinquapin and my second year as the principal.

I firmly believe that if you train a child in the way that he should go, then he will not depart from it (Proverbs 22:6). Therefore, we all must work together to train our students for success.  At Chinquapin Elementay, we are striving to align our goals, vision, and instruction to promote student success.  Our goal is to prepare students to be globally competitive.   Our staff strives to meet individual needs of our students through diverse experiences, college and career readiness, and a rigorous curriculum.  I strive to make each day better than the day before.  Every student counts and every moment matters at CES. I love my TRIBE.
