Tri-County Electric Membership Corporation presents Bright Ideas Grants

KENANSVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA- November 3, 2017- Sixteen educators from Duplin County Schools were awarded Tri-County Electric Membership Corporation Bright Ideas Grants last night during an awards banquet in Dudley.
DCS winners are: Regina Kilpatrick, Joyce Rau, Nicole Lane, Amy Parsons, Tera Kennedy, Lynn Marshburn, Kimberly Whitted, Danielle Ficklen, Megan Kornegay, Erica Edwards, Kelly Guy, Robyn Sutton, Darlene Quinn, Polly Justice, Amy Chrismon, and Robin Mewborn.
Amy Parsons and Kelly Guy were announced as the number two and three winners of all grants received. Both were given special recognition and an additional monetary award for creativity and outstanding proposals.
Tri-County Electric Membership Corporation General Manager Mike Davis noted that over 300 applications were received, 98 of which were awarded. He said this year’s grant total was over $84,000, and that since 1994, Tri-County has awarded 1,599 in grants totaling $1,463,329.66.
