Roger Jones is Duplin County School’s Employee of the Quarter

Roger Jones receives the Employee of the Quarter Award from Chairman Brent Davis.
KENANSVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA- November 22, 2017- Duplin County Schools has named Roger Jones as the Employee of the Quarter. On behalf of the Board of Education, Chairman Brent Davis presented Jones with a plaque in recognition of the honor during last night’s Board of Education Meeting.
Jones serves as the Director of Facilities and Special Projects and successfully oversaw the Facilities Projects, which included extensive additions and renovations to six schools.
As he presented Jones with a plaque on behalf of the Board, Chairman Davis said, “For the last year and four months, he has overseen this enormous construction project. What we ended up with in these facilities is a true testament of what he oversaw. I think everyone would agree the facilities just look amazing.”
Superintendent Dr. Austin Obasohan later said, “Mr. Roger Jones has worked tirelessly since he came to Duplin County Schools. He accepted the challenge to manage one enormous project at six facilities and did an outstanding job. He is organized and knows what it takes to work under a strict timeline. He’s a team player and we are truly blessed to have him in Duplin County Schools.”
