Board of Education Recognizes Middle School All-County Chorus Volunteers
Thank you!
Volunteers from the Middle School All-County Chorus were recognized by the Board of Education during tonight's meeting.
KENANSVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA- September 4, 2018- Members of the Duplin County Schools All-County Chorus who volunteered to perform at the Duplin County Schools Leadership Retreat were recognized by the Board of Education during tonight’s meeting.
Special Advisor for Exceptional Children, Global and Cultural Arts Education, and Physical Education Cary Powers introduced each volunteer and their leaders before presenting them with a certificate of appreciation. He noted how hard all of the student volunteers had worked and that they had earned two standing ovations after their performance in July. He also commended teachers DeAnn Sholar and Ryan Southerland for their leadership. Additionally, Powers noted that teacher Tracy Smith had also contributed greatly to the success of the group.
The Middle School All-County Chorus volunteers included: Shelby Edwards, Sarah Fiedler, Kristen Gomez, Cora Hayes, Brantley Hawes, Madison Sullivan, Landon Heath, Braydon Houston, Natalee Ibarra, Jarely Mendoza, and Jorja Wells.
Congratulations to all for a job well done!
