KENANSVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA- March 8, 2019- Duplin County Schools 2nd graders were all smiles as they worked their way through the annual “Duplin Grows” agricultural exhibits at the Duplin County Events Center. Students learned about bees, germination, dairy, wheat, gardening, healthy snacks, poultry and pigs, cows, goats, sheep, and more!
Duplin County Schools thanks Cooperative Extension and JSCC for partnering to help teach student more about agriculture! Sponsors for the event included Butterball, Prestage Farms, Nash Johnson & Sons, NC Farm Families, Smithfield Grain, Cape Fear Farm Credit, Farm Bureau, Duplin Events Center, Duplin FFA Chapter, Extension Community Association, NC Department of Agriculture, James Sprunt Community College, Kooba Dairy, Dairy Alliance, Smithfield Foods, Kenansville Tractor, and Master Blend Farms.
