DCS Students Showcase Talents At N.C. BETA Convention
Duplin County Schools Students recently competed in the North Carolina BETA Convention held in Greensboro, NC. Students from all across the state attended throughout the first week in February. The amazing talents of those that participated were showcased as school teams brought home many recognitions, awards, and memories to last a lifetime. This was the first time some DCS schools participated however, that didn’t stop them from winning in many categories. 118 clubs from different schools across the state attended the BETA convention with over 5,000 people in attendance. Each school was allowed only one submission (team or individual) for each category.
Dr. Austin Obasohan, Superintendent shared, “We are so proud of all of our students that participated in this year’s North Carolina BETA Convention.
