Sue Ellen Cottle Named DCS Employee of the Quarter
DCS Board Honors Ms. Sue Ellen Cottle as Employee of the Quarter
Kenansville, North Carolina- July 7, 2020- Adhering to CDC social distancing guidelines, Tuesday night’s Board of Education meeting was held at Kenansville Elementary School. During this meeting, Ms. Sue Ellen Cottle was recognized as Employee of the Quarter for Duplin County Schools.
Board Chairman Mr. Brent Davis commended Ms. Cottle on her dedicated service to Duplin County over the past 15 years to ensure that our schools remain safe and healthy environments for our staff and students to thrive and grow. Mr. Davis shared, “On behalf of the Board of Education, it is an honor for me to be able to present the award of Employee of the Quarter to you Ms. Cottle, and I think there’s probably never been a more fitting time to present this award to our lead nurse.”
Ms. Sue Ellen Cottle was given the opportunity to say a few words and shared, “I was really honored to have been chosen as Employee of the Quarter. I love working with Duplin County Schools and working with the other 12 awesome nurses to make sure that every school gets the help they need. We all know without the support of Mr. Powers, Dr. O and each one of you Board members, we could never do what we do in our schools. We appreciate that and the support you continue to give year after year to our nursing team.”
Superintendent Dr. Austin Obasohan stated, “Ms. Sue Ellen Cottle is a tremendous asset to the entire Duplin County Schools family. She is truly dedicated to her role in promoting the health, safety and well-being of all students. We are blessed to have her serving our school system and most importantly our students and staff.”
