Board of Education Honors Recent National Board Recipients
Kenansville, NC - August 4, 2020- During Tuesday night’s Board of Education Meeting, two Duplin County Schools teachers were honored for receiving National Board Certification.
Ms. Angela Whitehead, shared, “National Board Certification was designed to develop, retain and recognize accomplished teachers and to generate ongoing improvement in school nationwide. It is the most respected professional certificate available in K-12 education. Currently Duplin County Schools has approximately 60 certified educators. Tonight it gives me great pleasure to announce two additional accomplished teachers who have earned this prestigious certification and honor.”
Ms. Erica Chapman, 3rd grade teacher at Rose-Hill Magnolia Elementary received certification in Generalist Middle Grades Education.
Lori Murray, 8th grade teacher at Wallace Elementary School received certification in English-Language Arts Early Childhood Adolescence.
