Smithfield Foods Donates Sanitizing Supplies and Face Shields
Recently, Smithfield Foods donated face shields and sanitizing supplies to be used in schools and classrooms across the district. This generous donation included: 1,792 one-gallon containers of hand sanitizer with pumps for classrooms, 200 bottles of seven ounce hand sanitizer, 200 bottles of 18 ounce hand sanitizer, 200 containers of disinfectant wipes and 2,000 face shields. Duplin County Schools is very thankful for this donation that will provide additional supplies to our schools to help ensure our students and staff are healthy and safe.
Assistant Superintendent for Federal Programs, Exceptional Children, Student Support and Athletics shared, “We are extremely grateful to Smithfield for the generous donation of face shields and cleaning supplies. Our first priority is the safety of our students and staff. This donation will help us ensure that we are providing a quality education in an environment that is clean and well maintained. Our staff will also have additional protective gear to help them more effectively deliver instruction. We again thank Smithfield for reaching out to us with these supplies and for their ongoing partnership and support they provide to Duplin County Schools.”
