DECHS Student Accepted to Harvard University


Duplin Early College Student, Prince Williams


Prince Williams, senior at Duplin Early College High School has been accepted and will be attending Harvard University for the Fall 2021 semester. Prince has received a full academic scholarship to attend Harvard and plans to major in Political Science. Prince is from Beulaville and is the son of Travis Williams and Lina Tuner.

Duplin Early College High School’s principal, Mrs. Tanya Smith shared, “Duplin Early College High School (DECHS) is extremely proud of Prince's acceptance into Harvard University. His level of motivation and determination to be the best human being possible is impeccable. Prince is passionate about social justice and works diligently to share his message of equity and equality with those who are in his presence. He is a powerful speaker and an inspirational role model to his peers. Not only will Prince represent DECHS at Harvard University, but he will also be representing Duplin County Public Schools! This young man has a bright future in politics, and we will be seeing him, very soon, on a larger political platform.
