Agriculture Takes the Stage at Duplin Events Center
Duplin Grows 2023
Excitement was in the air as 2nd grade students got an opportunity to experience agriculture first hand in the annual Duplin Grows event. This two-day event held in the Duplin Events Center gave Duplin County Schools students a chance to rotate through various stations to learn about bees, dairy, pollution, healthy snacks, food source, soil and water, poultry, pigs, cows, goats and so much more. Business leaders set up and decorated stations which proved to be exciting and engaging for the students.
Duplin County Schools is thankful for the support from Duplin Grows contributors such as, Butterball, Cape Fear Farm Credit, Dairy Alliance, Duplin Agribusiness Academy, Farm Bureau, Duplin Event Center, Duplin Soil & Water, East Duplin FFA Chapter, Extension Community Association, James Sprunt Community College, Kooba Dairy, NC Farm Families, NC Dairy Promotional Committee, NC Department of Agriculture, Nash Johnson & Sons, Prestage, Smithfield Foods, and UMO.
